Sports and Remedial Massage
To tell you the truth, Sports and remedial work at Karis Therapies usually combines a variety of therapies which include specialist remedial techniques, dynamic stretching, trigger point work, muscle energy techniques, taping and even some swedish massage - whichever therapy is required to help you reach your goal! AND its not just for the sportsman!
This approach of individualised massage care works best for a number of scenarios from sports prep to rehabilitation and recovery. We can help with post workout or event recovery also frozen shoulder, sciatica, whiplash, post operative support and other acute or chronic musculoskeletal problems.

Deep tissue massage is about technique, tools and knowing your anatomy. It certainly is not about leaving clients with bruises! Deep tissue massage is used when working on an area that requires a deeper release and preparation for more ongoing movement and better strength. Usually used in conjunction with other effective techniques. I love showing my clients how just a few treatments can make an enormous difference to their health.
